Rob
began his career with Brown & Root, Inc. in 1975 in Project Controls,
following graduation from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1983, Rob
accepted the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with The
R.B. Lewis Company, a real estate development company. After receiving his
MBA, Rob returned to Brown & Root in 1987 and was placed in charge of all
activities related to the development of proposals for onshore projects,
where he gained experience in structuring EPC contracts. In 1992 Rob was
named Managing Director of Engineering Consulting Services for Brown & Root,
wherein he was responsible for the conduct of independent due diligence
efforts on behalf of major financial institutions, and supervised the
evaluation of over 75 projects in more than a dozen countries. Rob joined
Baker & O'Brien in 1998, where his project finance and synthetic lease
transaction experience includes the valuation of a deep water gathering
system in the Gulf of Mexico, petrochemical complexes in Brazil and China, a
refinery and an ammonia plant in Egypt as well as an alumina refinery in
Guinea, West Africa. Rob’s experience also includes an insurance subrogation
lawsuit in Guam, and an EPC contract dispute arbitration in Australia.
